About the blog

I started this blog because I wanted a public platform to engage with politics, culture, and activism in the wake of Trump’s election. Like a lot of millennials, I’m interested in questions like: What the fuck is happening? How do we change it?

So, my plan for the next year is to try to address these questions by doing three things every month: Read, Think, and Fight. I have a stack of books written by people who have been grappling with these questions for a lot longer than I have. I know that the act of writing engages your brain in a unique way and helps you think differently. I want to ensure that I am doing concrete things to fight for gender and racial equality, human rights, and the environment. Doing each of these things well depends on doing them all together.

I also just wanted a place to post my instructions for how to make a giant vulva costume, since that’ll probably come in handy as our reproductive rights and health infrastructure are slowly dismantled around us. In that spirit, I’ll try to keep tabs on other politics-inspired crafting projects as  well.
